Manufactures of all sizes and industries from around the world have stepped forward to help respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. This world-altering event is unlike other significant incidents of recent history as it has progressed more slowly across the nation in a continuous wave and remains an ongoing threat to our businesses, employees, family, and friends. Neutralizing COVID-19 is a priority across the world as companies and institutions try to restore operations to manageable levels during the current crisis.
According to a June 10, 2020 article in Forbes magazine, “Chief operating officers are looking for answers on how to safely reopen offices, hospitality, recreational, education, and other facilities while giving employees, customers, and students peace of mind.” Our US businesses are also addressing compliance issues, and one example is the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) 29 USC 654(a)(1). The OSHA General Duty Clause requires employers to furnish to each worker “employment and a place of employment, which are free from recognized hazards that are causing or are likely to cause death or serious physical harm.”
In response to the ongoing COVID-19 threat and the health and welfare challenges our customers are facing, Industrial Maid began to study the problem. We first reviewed existing filter solutions and found that Coronavirus particles are spheres with diameters of approximately 0.125 microns (125 nm). The smallest particles are 0.06 microns, and the largest is 0.14 microns.
The best filter technology currently available, HEPA” High-Efficiency Particulate Air” (filter), can capture up to 99.97% on particles as small as 0.3 microns. The ULPA “Ultra Low Particulate Air (filter)” captures up to 99.99% on particles up to 0.12 microns in size, but like the HEPA, they cannot wholly or independently remove the coronavirus.
Over the last year, we have been experimenting, and we have developed designs using two alternative technologies (UV Light, and Needlepoint Bipolar Ionization (Needlepoint Bipolar Ionization) to neutralize odors, gases, and pathogens like (bacteria, molds, and viruses).
The new Commercial and Industrial I-Series Air Purifiers that we are announcing have proprietary Needlepoint Bipolar Ionization technology inside and are specifically designed to control dust, odors, pathogens, and other nuisance airborne particles, including COVID-19. NeedlePoint Bipolar Ionization (Needlepoint Bipolar Ionization) has been tested by multiple independent laboratories, universities, and companies. It has been verified as an effective method to help remove molds, bacteria, pathogens, radon, pollutants, and smoke from the air.
This breakthrough testing and technology comes to us at a critical time when health and safety are more important than they have ever been–for you, your workers, and your customers.
That’s why Industrial Maid is offering a new product line: AZTech I-Series Commercial and Industrial Air Purifiers that utilizes this technology.
